Ok, Brace Yourself…
Whenever I hear a lot about a musical performance before I actually get to see it, I assume it’s over-hyped and not going to live up to what people are saying. I just watched Adele’s performance from the Grammy’s (something everyone’s been talking about) and it didn’t disappoint my assumptions. A good performance, yes. But it was nothing amazing.
I think people have gotten so used to such shitty live singers that they have forgotten what musical artists are supposed to be like. The bar has been set WAY too low these days and, although Adele is talented, she’s not as good as everyone says she is. Sorry to have to say it, but it’s how I feel.
The Civil Wars, on the other hand. They are it.
